How to Calculate Visa Overstay and Entry Ban in Turkey
You can use above tools to calculate the entry ban conditions in Turkey. Simply, put on your entry date and exit date. Then, enter your visa duration. For visa-free countries, usually the duration is 90 days. You can check it on the website of Turkey Ministry of Foreign Affairs (https://www.mfa.gov.tr/visa-information-for-foreigners.en.mfa). The overstay entry ban duration changes if you pay your penalty or not. So, you should choose your penalty payment status to view the final result.
Also note that there is 90/180 days rule in Turkey. Any amount of day above 90 days in the last 180 days will also count as an overstay. You should consider this in your overstay calculation.

Penalty for Overstaying Visa in Turkey
Foreigners can stay in Turkey during their visa duration. If they stay more than their visa duration, it means they are overstaying their visa. There are two possible penalties of overstay: they need to pay money penalty and also they might get entry ban for some period. If a foreigner enters Turkey without visa, they can only stay 90 days within 180 days.
Overstay Penalty Money Calculation
If a foreigner is in visa overstay, he needs to pay the overstay penalty before leaving Turkey. The calculation of overstay penalty as of 2025 is below:
- 810 Turkish Lira ($25) residency card fee as penalty
- Twice the amount of residency fee as penalty. This residency fee is different for each country (for example, for Germany the first month of residency is $25, while for Russia it is $7.
- If foreigner entered Turkey without visa, then he also needs to pay the single-entry visa fee if he is in overstay. As of 2025, it is 7,880TL ($220)
- Example calculation: If a German citizen overstays his visa for 1 month, he needs to pay: 7,880TL + 2x$25 + 810TL = 10,500TL ($300) as overstay penalty.
