This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) used on www.turkishcouncil.org, operated by Gordion Partners Organizasyon Danışmanlık Limited Şirketi under the Turkish Council brand. It follows the Personal Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on Cookie Practices and complements our Privacy Policy and KVKK Information Notice.
1. Our approach
- Strictly necessary storage is used without asking, because the site cannot remember your choice without it.
- Analytics cookies are used only after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. "Decline" is shown with the same prominence, and nothing is pre-selected.
- Embedded YouTube videos and Google Maps load only when you click them.
- You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
- We ask again when this policy changes in a way that affects your choice.

We use Google Consent Mode: until you accept, analytics storage is "denied" and the Google tags are not loaded at all. Google is located abroad; the transfer is made only with your consent, in line with KVKK Article 9.
3. Links to other services
WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google reviews and our online course platform (courses.turkishcouncil.org) are separate services. When you follow a link to them, their own cookie and privacy policies apply.
4. Changing your choice
- Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to show the banner again and accept or decline.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage means the site asks for your choice on every visit.
